Inexpensive Ways of Cleaning Your House After Winter

Feb 4, 2013 by     No Comments    Posted under: Uncategorized

1By the time spring arrives, our house and the appliances in it will be covered in dust and the house premises will be littered with dry leaves. Cleaning the house and its premises can cost you dearly unless you find cheap ways of cleaning. The following are some of the inexpensive ways of cleaning your house.

Use cheap cleaning materials that are easily available at your home. Vinegar and baking soda are very good cleaning agents and there will surely be some left- over of them in your home. Instead of buying costly and environmentally harmful chemicals for cleaning, use them which are cheap and environment friendly. A piece of sponge, old rags and old toothbrushes can serve as other cheap cleaning tools.

Don’t use costly machines which need continuous replacements. Some cleaners like the Swiffer are good cleaners but their parts need continuous replacement. Instead of these machines, use your old mop and broom to clean your house. If you are keen on using a vacuum cleaner, use one which doesn’t have a replaceable dust bag.

Most homeowners forget to clean their windows and electrical appliances while they clean their home. Power consumption will be more if electrical appliances are covered in dust and less light will enter the rooms if the windows aren’t clean. So, to save on power consumption, think of cleaning all your home appliances and window glasses as part of your spring cleaning.
